News: During early November 2000 Ameriteak management conducted meetings in Costa Rica. With Plantation One now four years on since establishment, the first set of  independent expert measurements were presented to management for review. Such statistics presented overwhelming evidence that the results at Plantation One are among the highest documented historically as far as yield and quality. Such encouraging results will hopefully enable management to obtain financing to double the size of Plantation One and expand to further plantations.

In addition, November 2000 marks the first sanitary thinning of the plantation. For the first of 3 thinnings, the smaller weaker trees have been marked and cut to allow more light and water for the stronger and better specimens. The outstanding growth of the plantation to date will allow management to sell a small percentage of this thinning.
